Firstly i’d like to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR (couples day late, im tired what can i say? lol) It’s crazy to think another year has gone by and once again your sat down asking yourself “what have done?”. For us at Benjart we know we have a lot more to show the world and 2010 will see the coming of a new era!

Bravehearts are coming and we’ll be taking no prisoners!!

Now as this post says, i’ll be giving you MY best of 2009. This will range from music, films, games..what ever i see fit to post up (and can find!)

Music: Interms of music, i’m still undecided on my favourite album of the year BUT I do know which song is my favourite and that would be Drake’s Successful. It was probably late Jan when I got hold of ‘So Far Gone’ and was amazed that someone had put together a mixtape which played out better than most albums! The stand out track for me was successful which was replayed about five times before it even finished lol

Games: Now to be honest I can’t write much on this as I had been without a console for nearly two years (yes shed a tear a for me, hard times people…hard times) But i managed to get acquire a PS3 before the christmas period and borrowed Batman: Arkham Asylum and got hooked on it! I’ve always been a fan of the dark knight plus joker is probably favourite villain..EVER!

This game is definitely a step away from the cartoon and more in the direction of the comics which had always been dark.

Movies: This year was full of movies but not a lot of them lived up to the hype (wolverine being one of them!) Through most of the year Star Trek stayed on top of my best movie of the year until i saw Hangover which had me laughing hard and wanting a trip out to vegas. But then i saw Law Abiding Citizen which creeped up to the top…until i saw Avatar in glorious 3D…The environments alone had me amazed. The facial expressions on the na’vi had me believing there real lol but yes Avatar is my movie of 2009 and lived up to the hype, though when a movie costs $300 million you kind of need it to be good! (oh forgot to mention the ads wherein 3D as well)

Shocking News: The President of The United States, Mr Barack Obama would have had this spot as no one would have imagined a black president. As much as that was BIG news I have to go with the death of the greatest musician to have graced the stage.. Michael Jackson. From the age 5 that man had captured the hearts and ears of people all over the WORLD. I’d be surprised if someone could honestly say they didn’t like mike. As a child i know i tried to moonwalk (destroyed a lot of socks lol) or the famous lean from the moonwalker movie to which i failed to accomplish! Plus when you hold the biggest selling album of all time (well of our time) you must be larger than life. Either way this man has influenced more people than anyone else, show respect and take a moment to find a tune and play it.
